The movie takes place in the year 2095, where humanity has reached the technological advancements to travel through space and colonize new planets. The spaceship, Aurora, is on a 120-year journey to Kepler-62f, a distant planet that is capable of supporting human life. On board, there are 5,000 passengers and crew members in hibernation, awaiting arrival at their new home.
