As our conversation came to a close, John reflected on the past 25 years. He talked about the people he’s met, the experiences he’s had, and the lessons he’s learned.

The late 1990s and early 2000s were what John refers to as the “golden years” of his career. This was a time when milk was still a staple in many households, and people relied on the milkman to deliver fresh milk to their doorsteps.
“It was tough to see the industry change in this way,” John said. “I had to adapt to new routes, new customers, and new products. It was a challenge, but I was determined to make it work.” With the rise of supermarkets and online shopping,
“But I think that’s what makes my job so rewarding,” John said. “I have to be flexible, and I have to be willing to adapt. I’ve seen customers who still rely on me for their daily milk, but I also see customers who are looking for more convenience and flexibility.”
