"Google Drive Captain America: Civil War" is more than a search query—it’s a symptom of how digital distribution fails to meet audience expectations for seamless, affordable, permanent access. Until studios offer ad-free, downloadable, low-cost options universally, cloud piracy will persist.

Released in 2016, Captain America: Civil War was a box-office success and a pivotal Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film. Despite legal availability on Disney+, Blu-ray, and digital retailers, a persistent online phenomenon is the sharing of Google Drive links containing the full movie. This paper argues that such searches are driven by convenience, cost avoidance, and fragmented streaming rights.
